Although members of the CILIP-BL Committee on RDA jointly discuss proposals
for the development of RDA at meetings and via email, the formal relationship
with the Joint
Steering Committee for Development of RDA (JSC) requires the British
Library (BL) to submit proposals and responses to other proposals separately
from the Chartered Institute
of Library and Information Professionals (CILIP).
Most of the BL proposals and responses are publicly available as online
documents in Portable Document Format (PDF). You can download
the Adobe Acrobat Reader software required to view or print such documents
free of charge from Adobe Systems Incorporated.
Note that these documents are made available for outreach to resource
description communities and to assist the JSC in its work. Under no circumstances
should the documents be copied or re-transmitted without prior consultation
with the Chair of JSC.
BL responses to proposals from other JSC constituencies are listed
below in chronological order, with the latest first. The original proposals
and responses from other JSC constituencies can be found in the working
documents section of the JSC website.
