17 Nov 2008 The full draft of RDA (PDF) was made available for comment. Details on accessing the draft and making comments are available, together with related new JSC documents. Comments from within the UK should have been submitted to the CILIP/BL Secretary Katharine Gryspeerdt (e: Katharine.Gryspeerdt@bl.uk) by 12 Jan 2009 for inclusion in the UK constituency response.
23 Sep 2008 Gordon Dunsire gave a presentation on RDA and interoperability in library catalogues: DC and MARC at the DCMI Libraries Community workshop, held during DC-2008: International Conference on Dublin Core and Metadata Applications in Berlin. 3 Sep 2008 Alan Danskin and Ann Chapman presented an RDA update at the Standards Forum of the Cataloguing and Indexing Group at its conference in Glasgow.

8 Aug 2008 Gordon Dunsire gave a presentation on RDA vocabularies and concepts at the IFLA satellite meeting on RDA in Québec City, Canada.
7 Jul 2008 The CILIP-BL Committee on AACR changed its name to the CILIP-BL Committee on RDA, to reflect the name of its parent body, the Joint Steering Group for Development of RDA.
17 Jun 2008 Gordon Dunsire gave a presentation on Resource description and access for the digital world to the 2008 International DOI Foundation open meeting: Resource access for a digital world, Brussels, Belgium.
16 Apr 2008 Ann Chapman gave a presentation on RDA: cataloguing for the twenty-first century to the Library Association of Ireland and CILIP Ireland 40th joint annual conference held in Athlone, Republic of Ireland.
13-22 Apr 2008 The Joint Steering Committee for Development of RDA met in Chicago, USA. Outcomes, an Executive summary, and Minutes of April 2008 meeting are available.
2 Apr 2008 Ann Chapman, Alan Danskin and Gordon Dunsire repeated the presentations on RDA: the state of play, RDA: Implementation schedule, and RDA: benefits and opportunities, respectively, at the CIG Standards Seminars in Manchester, UK. The presentations were originally given at the Standards Forum of the Cataloguing and Indexing Group at its Annual General Meeting in London on 26 Sep 2007.
