SLAINTE website receives approximately 300,000 hits every month. SLAINTE welcomes content of interest to Scottish librarians and information workers, including events and news items. Editorial control is reserved by SLAINTE, information may be reformatted, omitted, or subject to amendment. Please provide adequate covering information.

News items

If you want to share information and news regarding any aspect of information work, use our simple online form. You can also submit related documents and images by attaching them to the form.

Events

Notification of library and information events in Scotland can be made via the Notify event online form.

Image of the moment

Please use our online form to submit your photograph for the Image of the moment feature on the SLAINTE homepage.

Format

Documents should be in one of the following formats, listed in our preferred order:

  • ASCII text (.txt)
  • Rich text (.rtf)
  • MS Word (.doc)
  • Adobe Acrobat (.pdf)

Corrections

We welcome notification of corrections to erroneous or misleading information.

Sending information

Electronic documents and graphics files can be sent using the following methods:

  • email and/or attachment
  • CD-ROM
  • post
  • text-only material can be faxed.

You must contact SLAINTE in advance if you require originals to be returned.

Please provide adequate covering information. Material received by post without a covering note or letter may not be considered.

Graphics

Images should be of a high quality.

Graphic files should be supplied in GIF, PNG, or JPEG formats.
