Scotland's leading disability organisation providing a diverse range of services including education and learning, family support and activities.
Centre for Accessible Environments
The Centre for Accessible Environments (CAE) is an information provider and a forum for communication between providers and users.
CLAUD
Librarians in Higher Education networking to improve library access for disabled users.
Department for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform (BERR) - Employment Matters
Aims to improve the quality of working life for individuals, and create the conditions for business success. It supports better regulation and works to promote best practice and effective employment relations.
Directgov: Disabled People
Produced by the Central Office of Information, Directgov provides information from across UK government departments, access to government directories, and links to relevant third parties who can offer additional trusted advice and support.
Employers Forum on Disability
The Employers' Forum on Disability is the employers' organisation focused on the issue of disability in the workplace. Established in 1986, the Forum works closely with government and other stakeholders.
Enable Scotland
A support organisation for people with learning disabilities and their families in Scotland.
Equality and Human Rights Commission
The Equality and Human Rights Commission is a non-departmental public body established under the Equality Act 2006. It brings together the work of the three previous equality commissions, including the Disability Rights Commission, and also takes on responsibility for the other aspects of equality: age, sexual orientation and religion or belief, as well as human rights.

Champions equality and human rights for all, working to eliminate discrimination, reduce inequality, protect human rights and to build good relations, ensuring that everyone has a fair chance to participate in society.
JISC
The mission of the Joint Information Systems Committee (JISC) is to provide world-class leadership in the innovative use of Information and Communications Technology to support education and research.
Learning and Teaching Scotland (LT Scotland)
LT SCotland's role is to advise the Scottish Government and to support development in learning and education, including the use of information and communications technology.
Museums, Libraries and Archives Council
The English development agency working for and on behalf of museums, libraries and archives and advising government on policy and priorities for the sector.
RNIB National Library Service
The RNIB National Library Service aims to ensure that visually impaired people have the same access to library services as sighted people. A variety of books are available in alternative formats, such as Braille, audio and large print. There is also an online resources service for newspapers, dictionaries and reference books.
The Network
Supports libraries, museums, archives and other cultural and heritage organisations (as well as individuals) who are working to tackle social exclusion and inequality.
Royal National Institute for Deaf People
RNID represents 9 million deaf and hard of hearing people in the UK. They can advise on the best way to make recruitment processes and workplace more accessible for deaf and hard of hearing people.
Royal National Institute of Blind People
RNIB delivers a wide range of services for people who are blind and partially sighted in the fields of employment, education, family support, social work, social care, accessible information and the built environment.
Scottish Disability Equality Forum
Works with members to identify gaps in support for people with disabilities and their organisations. An infrastructure for access organisations is a particular current concern.
Scottish Funding Council
SFEFC was established in 2005, distributes about GBP 1.5 billion in funding each year for teaching and learning, research and other activities in Scotland's colleges and universities.
Scottish Further Education Unit
SFEU help Scotland's FE colleges tackle operational and developmental issues.
Scottish Information Commissioner
The SIC is responsible for ensuring that people get the information from the public authorities to which they are entitled.
Scottish Sensory Centre
SSC promotes and supports new developments and effective practices in the education of children and young people with sensory impairments.
Skill: National Bureau for Students with Disabilities
National charity promoting opportunities for young people and adults with any kind of disability in post-16 education, training and employment across the UK.
TechDis
The JISC TechDis service aims to improve provision for disabled staff and students in the further, higher and specialist education sectors through technology.
WebEQuality
Provides access to disability equality training in the form of a web-based course or "e-learning programme". This training is based on the Social Model of Disability, which argues that disability is as much a way that society treats people as a matter of any physical or mental conditions they may have.
