Access and Equity > Introduction

Access and Equity issues have a significant impact on the provision and delivery of library and information services. Equity is a qualitative concept covering issues of justice, fairness, equal treatment, experiences and opportunities.

These issues cut across the sectors and have complex legal and political contexts. This section of SLAINTE gives links to information regarding guidelines useful for the information professional, agencies who deal with access and equity issues and legislation which covers access and equity in the UK.
