The Employment Equality (Age) Regulations 2006

Equality and Diversity: Age Matters (Age Consultation 2003)

This consultation was devoted solely to proposals for age legislation. Towards Equality and Diversity in 2001 started to explore the issues, and The Way Ahead subsequently touched on some matters of importance to the age strand of the Directive.

Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) 1995

The Disabled people section of DirectGov provides links to a number of codes of practice, related to the Act.

Skill: the National Bureau for Students with Disabilities provides DDA materials, including the guide Understanding the Disability Discrimination Act: A Guide for Colleges, Universities, and Adult Community Learning Providers in Great Britain.

Declaration on freedom of communication on the Internet (PDF format)

The Declaration consists of 7 principles including "freedom of expression; rights to access; protection of human rights and dignity; condemnation of restriction; liability of providers and right of anonymity".

Equal Pay Act 1970 (Amendment) Regulations 2003

The Equality and Human Rights Commission outlines the main features of the Act.

Employment Equality (Religion or Belief) Regulations 2003

The Department for Business, Enterprise & Regulatory Reform offers further information on the new regulations covering sexual orientation, religion and belief.

Freedom of Information Act (Scotland) 2002

Human Rights Act (1998)

Guidance is available from the Scottish Government's Human rights website.

Race Relations (Amendment) Act 2000

Guidance is available from the UK Border Agency.

Sex Discrimination Act 1975 (Amendment) Regulations 2003

The Equality and Human Rights Commission offers further guidance on the the Sex Discrimination Act and its applications.
