CILIPS CPD course content was designed to complement the CILIP Body of Professional Knowledge and link to CILIP Framework of Qualifications, the National Occupational Standard (NOS) framework and the NHS Scotland Knowledge and Skills Framework (KSF).

The aim of this course was to enhance the ability of library professionals to design and deliver appropriate learning outcomes for a variety of client groups.

By the end of this workshop participants had:

• Considered some of the various ways people learn
• Produced aims and objectives for a learning episode
• Explored how to plan a learning episode
• Identified types of activity/methodologies to use in a learning episode
• Discussed techniques for identifying learning needs and wants
