IFLA Information Literacy Section
Encourages international cooperation in the development of information skills education in all types of libraries. Useful for background on information literacy programmes and trends.
InfoLit Global: Information Literacy Resources Directory
IFLA database to record information literacy materials (over 500) from different parts of the world, on behalf of UNESCO. Librarians, educators and information professionals are invited to share information literacy materials.
ILit.org - The Foundation of Independent and Lifelong Learning
This site is dedicated to the exploration and the facilitation of Information Literacy within the context of postgraduate provision in Information Management and the wider remit of continuing professional development (CPD) of information practitioners.
National Forum on Information Literacy
Contains a range of definitions for the multiple "literacies", a good range of print resources and a media kit, which may be useful when putting together a case for information literacy.
The Information Literacy Place
A rich resource, produced by Sheila Webber of the University of Sheffield and Bill Johnston of Strathclyde University, with links to other sites, research, definitions, models and learning and teaching resources. The links are useful across age-groups and should not be regarded as exclusively for the higher education sector.
