Winter 2006
This edition features Sheila Cannell's Branch and Group Day paper "Adapt or die: Darwin and the current position of Librarians: an evolutionary approach to meeting the needs and experiences of information users in the Google era" and Duncan Chappell's report of this year's Electric Connections. MmITS sponsored a chartership candidate for Enterprising econtent held in October and in return Annette Casci has written a full account of the day.
Spring/Summer 2006
This issue contains the Chairperson's Report, presented at the AGM in March, which gives a roundup of MmITS activities over the previous year and a report of the seminar which followed at which presentations were given on the BBC Creative Archive Licence Group and Education Media Online (EMOL), plus a follow up report by Peigi Mackillop (Training Officer for EDINA) on EMOL.
Winter 2005
In this issue Paulette Hill gives a personal view of this years CILIPS Branch/Group Day. Alan Maclennan, Robert Gordon University, writes about his research into Cyberspace and is looking for volunteers to assist with testing. If you want to know what the future holds for library systems then read George Macgregor and Gordon Dunsire’s article.
Spring/Summer 2005
In this issue Les Watson, Pro-Vice Chancellor (LIS), Glasgow Caledonian University, has written an article about the University's exciting new Learning Centre. There are reports from the MmITS AGM on Enabling Technologies and Information for Scotland, the latter written by Jeff Bruce, a student from Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen who was sponsored by MmITS to attend the conference. We also have an article by Thomas McCusker about e-learning at Clydebank College.
Autumn/Winter 2004
This issue contains reports from various events run either by MmITS or in partnership with others, from our AGM held in April to the 4th annual e-Books seminar held in October. The main article in this issue has been written by Paul Cunnea, E-Collections Development Co-ordinator, National Library of Scotland. Paul provides an introduction to the new Legal Deposit Libraries Act 2003 and how this affects the legal deposit of electronic publications and e-resources.
Spring 2004
This first issue focuses on Web accessibility with an article by Carol Murphy, Technology Adviser (Learning Services) Special Needs Service at the University of Strathclyde, offering advice and information on how to make your website accessible. This issue also includes a review of the Netskills Web Accessibility course, news and forthcoming events.
