Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) are rights awarded to creators of intellectual and creative work. Examples of such works include inventions, books, illustrations, and trade names. These rights are:

  • patents;
  • trade marks;
  • copyright;
  • design rights;
  • passing off; and
  • the law of confidential information.
