Notes Best practice suggests that responsibility for equality and diversity should be strategically embedded across organisations, linked to business objectives and mainstreamed as part of everyday management. Our event will focus on giving heads up on the new Equalities legislation, raising awareness and encouraging good practice in libraries. CILIP's Ayub Khan will also present an introduction to the new Encompass positive action scheme. The conference will be accompanied by a supplier exhibition and a number of poster sessions. A CILIPS Certificate of attendance is available to members attending this course.
