This section of Slainte contains information to support the implementation on the Public Library Quality Improvement Matrix (PLQIM) (PDF format).
PLQIM is a quality assurance tool specially developed by the Scottish Library and Information Council (SLIC) for public libraries in Scotland. It recognises the specific requirements of the public library service and its role in supporting wider policies, such as health, regeneration and public service reform.
PLQIM has been designed to fit in with these new developments and will also form part of the Strategic Quality Assurance Framework, currently being developed for use by local authorities in monitoring and assessing the performance of cultural services.
