New for Jan 2008: Foreign language services survey

In collaboration with SLIC, Scottish public library services carried out a consultation on the needs of library users whose first language is not English. An online survey was available until Mon 28 Jan 2008 for residents across the 32 authorities. The project board met on Mon 4 Feb to discuss results and areas for service development.

People's Network
This section contains reports and presentations from People's Network training sessions and information about the online resources available through the People's Network.
Public Library Quality Improvement Matrix (PLQIM)
PLQIM is a quality assurance tool specially developed by the Scottish Library and Information Council (SLIC) for public libraries in Scotland.
Readership Development
This area contains information on reader development initiatives, including a projects bank and examples of good practice.
